A Little Bit Western, a Whole Lot of Personality
You know those seniors who show up with outfits that look like them, ideas that are totally their own, and a vibe that just clicks the second the camera comes out? That was Sierra.
From leopard boots with her cap and gown to tossing vinyl at the record store, every part of her session had a purpose—and that purpose was fun. She’s a cheerleader, a music lover, and a proud grad from Show Low High School. We packed a whole lot of her personality into just a few hours, and every location gave us something different.
Let’s just say… this wasn’t your standard desert shoot. But don’t worry—we still got the cactus!

A Hidden Desert Gem (In the Middle of the Suburbs?!)
Everyone wants those dreamy desert senior pictures—but here’s the secret: you don’t have to hike for miles or drive out to the middle of nowhere. For Sierra’s session, we skipped the obvious spots (bye, Goldfield Ghost Town) and found a little corner of East Mesa that gave us cactus, texture, and rustic vibes.
That sweet combo of soft golden light, a weathered metal wall, and tall cacti? It nailed the western feel Sierra was going for—without locking us into just one setting. And that meant more variety for her gallery, which is always the goal. We got all this in about 15 minutes!

Cap & Gown, But Make It Cowgirl
Leave it to Sierra to bring the perfect mix of tradition and sass. For her cap and gown portraits, she didn’t play it safe. She paired her graduation gown with leopard-print cowgirl boots—because of course she did. It was edgy. It was bold. It was so her.
And underneath the gown? A dreamy white dress that felt just right for the occasion. It gave us tons of posing options—from tossing the gown over her shoulder to full-length shots that grandma’s gonna love.

Pro tip: Always wear a full outfit under your gown. We’ll definitely get the classic shots, but you’ll want the freedom to switch things up and show off your personal style too.

Also: daisy sunnies! She grabbed them from the Style Closet and BAM—one of the most-loved photos of the session. Playful, totally her, and now officially iconic.

Vintage Vibes & Vinyl Dreams
Next stop: a local record store that basically looks like it was made for senior portraits. Between the retro couch, funky rug, and rows of old-school records, it was a full-on color explosion in the best way. Sierra absolutely lit up this space!

She’s a music lover through and through, and bringing along her own vinyl (yes, actual records) added a personal touch that took the whole shoot to the next level. That Dirty Dancing pink vinyl? Perfection. These two photos? Both published!

If you’re into bold color, vintage style, or just want a location that’s totally different from the usual park setting, we can check out local record shops to see what fits your vibe!
The Perfect Shot? Oh, We Got Several.
Let’s talk outfits. When you match your vibe to the location? Magic happens. Sierra’s vintage band tee looked like it was made for the brightly colored curtains. And yes, this image also landed a publication feature. This girl is fire!!

Outfit planning isn’t just helpful—it’s what makes your session feel like you. From the boots to the jacket to that effortless laugh she always brings, Sierra’s style showed up strong in every frame.

Go Team: Cheer Senior Pictures Done Right
Sierra’s not just a music fan—she’s also a proud Show Low High School cheerleader. She made sure to bring her full uniform, letter jacket, and poms so we could celebrate her time on the squad. These aren’t just photos; they’re proof of the early mornings, pep rallies, and years of spirit (and yes, sore muscles) that got her to senior year.

Golden Hour in Downtown Gilbert
As the sun started to dip, we made one last stop: Downtown Gilbert. Sierra slipped into her final outfit—a city-chic look that caught the last bit of sunset glow. Between the twinkle lights and warm skies, this final set of images gave us just the right mix of glam and grit to wrap things up.

Every Piece of the Puzzle, Perfectly Her
From cheer spirit to cowgirl boots to classic vinyl, Sierra’s senior session told her story from start to finish. Every outfit, every location, every pose? On point. And now, she’s off to Portugal for her next adventure, but this gallery? It’s her whole senior year, frozen in time.
