Your Professional Photographer

Photographer, Confidence-Builder, and Your Teen’s Personal Hype Woman

I believe every senior deserves to feel like a rock star — and to finally see themselves the way the people who love them do. Mom sees it. I see it. Now it’s THEIR turn to see it!

Creating beautiful images isn’t just something I do for fun—it’s my career, passion, and full-time obsession. I keep my sessions intentionally low volume, which means you’ll never feel like just another name on a list. Every senior gets a totally customized, personal experience where they feel special from start to finish.

Sure, digital files are nice…but let’s be honest—you deserve more than a USB that ends up in a drawer.  That’s why I offer full design and ordering services so you can have heirloom-quality keepsakes you’ll actually want to show off!

I’ve made it super easy to choose your favorite photos, and then we’ll team up to create something amazing together. You’ll know exactly what you’re getting before your ordering session ends—no surprises, just excitement!

My World...

My Real-Life Dream Team

I’ve been married to my husband Lance for 26 years, and we have two amazing kids. Trevor (24) graduated from ASU with his BS in Mechanical Engineering and now gets to use both his tech skills and creative side working at World of Illumination—how cool is that?!  Alex (22) recently graduated with her BS in Nursing and is now living her dream as a PICU Nurse at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.  It’s been a big year full of milestones and change, but for now, I’m just soaking up the joy of having both kids back under one roof—at least for a little while!

Sophie & Roxie

SOPHIE

Sophie is the tan one—a sweet little Shorkie who’s been running the house for 15 years now. She promised she’d make it to at least 18, so we’re holding her to it!  She’s ridiculously soft, has pillows everywhere, and when she’s not snoozing in a cozy corner, she’s probably outside getting into things and pretending she can’t hear me. But open a popcorn bag, and suddenly her hearing works just fine!

ROXIE

The black & white cutie is Roxie (aka Squish), our wild little Shih-poo with way too many toys and a tongue that’s always hanging out. She’s the only dog we’ve ever had that actually comes when she’s called—not for treats, but if you squeak a toy? She’ll come flying every time. No matter who shows up at the house, Roxie’s convinced they’re there to see her… and honestly, she might be right.

Quirky, Creative, & a Little Bit Camera-Crazy

Camera Talk

I used to be obsessed with scrapbooking and wanted better pics for my pages—so I got myself a “good” camera. Our daughter was a gymnast, and since flash is a no-go in gyms, I had to learn how to actually use it! My first DSLR was a Canon XTi (remember those?!), and now I shoot with a Canon R5. Fave lens? Depends on my mood! I love my 70-200mm 2.8, the 24mm 1.4 for wide and edgy shots, and the 85mm 1.4 for that creamy, flattering bokeh.

Career Twist

I graduated from ASU with a B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering… because photography and engineering are basically the same thing, right?! Truth is, I didn’t catch the photography bug until I had kids. The more I learned, the more I realized how much more there was to learn—which I actually loved! Photography gives me space to grow creatively and learn at my own pace. Apparently, God knew photographing teens was a much better match for my personality than life in the semiconductor industry!

Color Confession

Yep…I’m part of the .5% of women who are color-deficient. So here I am—a photographer with an engineering degree and a quirky color challenge. Do you hear God laughing? Because I sure do! But even with that twist, I’ve been thriving for 16 years in this business—all by the grace of God. This year I even stepped way out of my comfort zone and attended a Stories With Light seminar…and now I’m playing with colored gels in my portraits! Who even am I?!

It’s the pixie dust-powered part of me you didn’t know you needed!

Disneyland Obsession? Absolutely!

I’m a huge Disney fan—always have been, always will be!  Lance and I first went to Disneyland together in 1998, got married in 1999, and even spent part of our honeymoon at Walt Disney World. The magic never stopped! Now our kids (22 & 24) are just as hooked. Trevor’s favorite is Winnie the Pooh and Alex loves Dory  because of course she does!

Now that they’re older and working, Lance and I even did a Disneyland trip without the kids. It was definitely different… but still so much fun! And yep—we’ve got Magic Keys and already have plans to go back with the kids later this year!

Absolutely obsessed with Inside Out and Inside Out 2
Favorite Park: Disneyland—forever and always!
Favorite Restaurant: Goofy’s Kitchen—breakfast and chaos? Yes, please!
Rope Drop or Late Nights?
Um, both!!! Sleep is for after vacation!

Bucket List: Visit all international Disney parks. Disneyland Paris will be fall of 2025!

5 Fun Facts About Me!

1. Water is my happy place!  Pool, lake, beach—if there’s water, I’m in my element!
2. I hate coffee.  I know, I know… I’m one of the few adults who just can’t stand it. Growing up = coffee, and I only adult when absolutely necessary.
3. I’m a Dallas Cowboys fan  — by marriage only. Not really a football fan, but I married into it… so here I am, yelling at the TV on Sundays!
4. I bleed purple and orange! Huge Phoenix Suns fan over here! My dad even tried to get Jason Kidd to our wedding. I still watch almost every game—even when they stress me out with those nail-biters!
5. Big Bang Theory = family favorite.  We’ve watched it for years and quote it almost daily. Bazinga!
