Photo Shoot for Boys
As a professional photographer, I love capturing the bond between brothers! If you’re boy mom, I’m sure you know how special it is to have pictures of your boys together. Well it was important for Amy too! I’ve known Connor and Kaden for quite a few years and have done several sessions for their family, including their older sister’s senior portraits. Since all the Abernethy kids have now graduated from high school, I thought it would be fun to share some images from their older sessions.
Sometimes being a brother is even better than being a superhero.

Outdoor Portraits for Boys
We chose an cute little Tempe location that would give us some great urban shots using the brick background for the boys. How could you not fall in love with those gorgeous blue eyes?!?! And I promise, there is no extra photoshop here. They really are THAT blue!
My heart melts seeing Kaden’s sweet grin! This is always the age that parents miss. Those precious in between years when they suddenly grown up and aren’t babies anymore! It’s even more special since this kid just graduated from Hamilton High School.

In the exact same location, with a little creativity, we were able to the beautiful “blurry backgrounds” that moms love!
Awesome Hair
While moms sometimes have other ideas, you know we have to let our boys express themselves. For Connor, that meant longer hair. I loved the change as he went from from clean cut preppy to teenage heartbreaker just by running his fingers through his hair! Love that deep stare, and did I mention those eyes???
Black & White Pictures
Many of my clients ask if they will have the option of black & white pictures. Well, of course! To this day, this is one of my favorite black & white images. Just a casual moment of the boys chatting during their photo shoot.

As a boy mom, pictures of my 2 boys are my most precious treasures. There’s just something so pure about their brotherly connection that I want to always remember! I wish we lived closer so you could create some awesome professional portraits of my boys!
