Featured Senior Portrait Session

Scottsdale, Arizona

Meet Erica, Class of 2021 graduate from Queen Creek High School. Originally she had talked about having her pictures taken at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum, but when she saw the rustic, western vibe of Downtown Scottsdale, she decided that would be perfect! We started near the Scottsdale Civic center where she chose a casual outfit as well as her scrubs from EVIT. I love that she brought her stethoscope too! That got her warmed up, then the real fun started! With their permission, we walked through The Saguaro Scottsdale where Erica grabbed her favorite footwear…her boots! Aren’t they just perfect? And they really looked great with her romper! From there we moved on to Old Town Scottsdale where she grabbed a few of her favorite “senior” creations to show off her artistic side. Don’t forget the cowboy hat! With just a simple wall and the right light, we were able to capture some of her favorite images! We were lucky enough to use these perfect wagon wheel chairs and seemed like they were made for Erica. One of them was even published in Senior Year Magazine!

As the sun started to set, Erica changed into her prom dress and we headed toward Sugar Bowl. I had seen images of prom dresses with ice cream and Erica was 100% in with that idea, so mom and step-dad grabbed her an ice cream cone while we started shooting outside. Setting up a photo shoot right off of Scottsdale Road with a gorgeous girl in a prom dress, well, let’s just say she attracted quite a bit of attention. Everyone always stops to congratulate my seniors and comment on how much fun we’re having! And they’re not wrong…we were having a blast even though it was getting a little chilly. Once the ice cream was gone we headed down a few blocks to catch a favorite…photos at night what show off the city lights. Erica was twirling and I was shooting away capturing every move! Then came this stunning white jumpsuit, which to date is still one of my absolute favorite dressy outfits! Erica was able to pull off every look from serious to smiles and everything in between!

If you love this rustic country-girl style, just follow Erica’s lead and you’ll have the perfect wardrobe ready for your senior portrait session too! Ready to read more about Erica? Here’s her blog post!
