Featured Senior Portrait Session

Chandler, Arizona

This is Janaye, and as a Class of 2021 graduate from Benjamin Franklin High School in Queen Creek, she is my first senior from this school. Janaye started by getting prepped by my fabulous hair and makeup artist, Deb. I know she was nervous about not liking the style or not looking like herself, but that’s the beauty of hiring a pro. Deb gets it right every time! Since Janaye had mentioned the desert, we started in East Mesa where we could get a few quick shots before heading to Chandler. I love that she chose this layered look for her first outfit! It really lets her show off her sass! And can we talk about this jumper? For a senior who wasn’t sure what to wear for an outdoor senior portrait session, she definitely did her homework. Boy did that pay off!¬†

Off to Chandler we went for some skateboarding! She chose her favorite t-shirt and jeans, and only fell once as I tried to get shots of her skating down an empty path in a parking lot! Before sunset, she hustled to change into her stunning red prom dress so we could get some photos by the lake. I have no words! Well maybe I do…stunning!!! Knowing that she’d be changing back into her dress at night, I didn’t spend too much time here before we headed back to downtown Chandler. She selected a senior favorite, this black leather jacket and it gave her a great urban look with her skateboard. One more quick outfit change to catch those gorgeous city lights, then we headed to a hotel, where she thought we were just taking more pictures. I got to drool over her beautiful dress, complete with perfect accessories and everyone’s favorite…pockets!!! Little did she know, that while we were finishing her session, her boyfriend was waiting to take her for a night on the town since prom had recently been canceled. Cutest couple ever!

When it comes to selecting cute clothes for senior photos, Janaye had the perfect mix of casual, trendy, and formal. Absolutely LOVED her wardrobe choices! Be sure to read more about Janaye on her blog post too!
