See Why Seniors (and Their Moms) Love the Experience
A great reputation doesn’t happen overnight. It’s built one happy senior, one relieved mom, and one unforgettable session at a time.
Since 2009, I’ve worked with hundreds of teens and families across Mesa, Phoenix, and the East Valley to create senior portraits that feel anything but basic. From stylish, personality-filled sessions to heirloom albums, wall art, and keepsakes, every part of the experience is designed to help seniors feel confident, celebrated, and genuinely seen.
Awards and features are never the goal, but I’ll be honest—it’s pretty amazing to have this little business of mine recognized by industry leaders, publications, and the people who matter most: my clients.

Top Rated Photographer in Arizona
Ranked #2 in Arizona by Top Rated Local®
According to Top Rated Local®, I’m officially the #2 photographer Arizona—and the only one from the Phoenix area to snag a top spot!
With a 98% satisfaction rating based on reviews from across the web, this recognition reflects more than pretty pictures. It speaks to the full senior portrait experience: planning, styling help, location guidance, posing, artwork design, and the care that goes into helping each senior feel like a total rockstar.
And yes, I may have done a little happy dance when I saw the results. Maybe more than once.
Recommended by BestProsInTown
Another sweet recognition? BestProsInTown named Magical Memories by Michelle one of Mesa’s highly rated professional photographers.
With more than 115 five-star Google reviews, this recognition feels especially meaningful because it’s fueled by the words and experiences of real clients and families.

One mom shared that her daughter felt beautiful, comfortable, and completely at ease during her senior session — and that the locations, outfits, lighting, and fun made the day feel magical.
And honestly? That’s the whole goal. Pretty pictures matter, of course, but the experience matters just as much. Seniors should feel confident, moms should feel taken care of, and the whole thing should feel like a memory worth keeping.
Featured in Leading Senior Photography Publications
Over the years, my work has been featured in national senior photography magazines and recognized alongside some of the top senior photographers in the industry.
These features mean a lot because senior photography is its own specialty. It takes more than pretty light and a cute outfit. A strong senior portrait needs personality, styling, expression, posing, location, lighting, and a final edit that all work together to tell the story of who that senior is right now.
Here are just a few of the publications and recognitions I’m proud to be part of:
SeniorMUSE
SeniorMUSE is a huge deal in the senior photography world, and being named one of their 50 to Follow senior photographers is one of the biggest honors of my career.
I had worked toward this recognition for years, so when the scores finally landed where they needed to be, I literally cried — happy tears, shocked tears, all of it. It was one of those moments where all the learning, practicing, refining, and pushing myself creatively finally felt seen.
To have my work recognized alongside some of the best senior photographers in the industry means so much. But what makes it even better is knowing that the same level of care, creativity, posing, lighting, and attention to detail goes into every senior session I photograph.
Senior Year Magazine
I’ve also been recognized by Senior Year Magazine as one of their Elite 100 Photographers, which is such an incredible honor in the senior portrait world.
This recognition celebrates standout senior photography from across the country, and I’m so proud to have my work included alongside photographers who are creating some truly beautiful, creative, and personality-filled images for teens.

SeniorSzn Magazine
SeniorSzn Magazine is known for highlighting creative senior photographers and personality-filled senior sessions. Being featured there is another reminder that senior pictures can be stylish, expressive, and completely unique to each teen.
Senior Luxe
Senior Luxe is another senior photography publication I’m so proud to have my work featured in.
Their magazine highlights stylish, polished, personality-driven senior portraits, which makes it such a beautiful fit for the kind of sessions I love creating. From carefully chosen outfits and locations to posing, lighting, and final edits, Senior Luxe celebrates senior pictures that feel elevated, intentional, and full of personality.
Being featured there is another sweet reminder that senior portraits can be more than “just pictures.” They can feel creative, meaningful, confidence-building, and completely unique to each senior.
Teen Years Magazine
I’m also proud to have my work featured in Teen Years Magazine, a publication focused on tweens, teens, and high school seniors.
Their features celebrate the kind of images I love creating most — strong teen portraits with personality, expression, style, age-appropriate posing, beautiful lighting, and a polished, magazine-ready feel. Being included there feels like such a sweet fit because senior pictures should do more than look pretty. They should celebrate who each teen is right now, before everything changes.
Infinity Photography Magazine
Infinity Photography Magazine has been such a fun publication to be part of because it gives my college graduates a place to shine, too.
While many senior photography magazines focus specifically on high school seniors, Infinity has featured some of my college grad sessions — and I love that those milestone portraits are recognized as something worth celebrating. College graduation is a huge accomplishment, and those sessions deserve the same level of creativity, polish, and excitement as any high school senior experience.
Whether I’m photographing a high school senior, a college graduate, or someone stepping into a brand-new chapter, the goal is always the same: portraits that feel confident, meaningful, and completely worth remembering.
Always Learning, Always Growing
I’ve been photographing seniors since 2009, and somehow, I’m even more obsessed with it now than when I started.
The awards and magazine features are exciting, but the real growth comes from always learning, refining, and finding new ways to make each session even better. Senior photography changes constantly — outfits, locations, posing, editing styles, lighting, products, and what teens actually want from their pictures.
That’s why I keep pushing myself creatively. I want every senior who steps in front of my camera to get the benefit of all those years of experience, plus a fresh, creative approach that still feels current and fun.
Consistency. Care. Creativity.
What truly sets this experience apart? It’s the attention to detail in every single step.
I intentionally limit the number of sessions I take so each client gets a relaxed, full-service experience from start to finish. That means help with outfits, location planning, posing, expression, professional retouching, and designer artwork that doesn’t just live on a phone.
I’m not here to hand you a gallery and call it a day. I’m here to help you create something meaningful — senior pictures your teen feels excited about now and your family will still love years from now.

Senior Portrait Session Q&A
If you’re searching for the right senior photographer, you probably have a lot of questions. Here are some of the most common ones I hear from families and teens when they start planning senior pictures.
What makes someone the best senior portrait photographer?
It’s more than owning a nice camera. A great senior photographer knows how to guide the full experience — outfits, locations, posing, lighting, expression, editing, and finished artwork.
For senior pictures, it also matters that your photographer knows how to make teens feel comfortable. The goal isn’t stiff poses or forced smiles. It’s helping each senior look confident, relaxed, and genuinely like themselves.
Why should I hire a professional instead of using the school photographer?
Yearbook photos are great for the yearbook, but they usually don’t show off your teen’s personality.
A professional senior portrait session gives you more variety, more creativity, outfit changes, location options, professional retouching, and artwork that feels personal instead of cookie-cutter. It’s the difference between a required school photo and a portrait experience designed around your senior.
How much should I expect to invest in senior pictures?
Every family is different, but most senior portrait clients begin around $2,400, with many families investing between $4,000 and $6,000 once they choose their favorite images and artwork.
Your final investment depends on the session you choose, how many images you love, and the finished products you want for your home — like albums, wall art, gift prints, and high-resolution digital images.
Senior year only happens once, and these portraits become part of your family’s story. Most moms tell me they’re so glad they invested in artwork they can actually hold, display, and enjoy long after graduation day.
Do senior photographers provide products like albums and wall art?
Absolutely! Digital images are wonderful, but there’s something completely different about seeing your senior’s portraits printed beautifully or preserved in a keepsake album.
As a full-service senior photographer, I help families design artwork they’ll actually enjoy — not just files that disappear on a hard drive.
When should I book senior pictures?
My calendar fills up quickly, and once a date is gone, it’s gone. If you wait too long, you might find there aren’t any spots left at all—and nobody wants to miss out on senior pictures because the schedule filled up. Once you’re on the calendar, you can relax knowing you’re covered for sports, events, yearbook deadlines, and graduation!
When you’re ready for senior pictures that feel effortless, fun, and unforgettable, I’d love to show you why so many families call me Arizona’s best senior photographer.
