When it’s time for a senior photo session, I put every ounce of creativity, professional know-how, and attention to detail into creating a senior picture collection my clients will love. It’s a BONUS when some of those photos are chosen for national publication in professional magazines! The photos that were chosen to represent Magical Memories by Michelle in national outlets are made irresistible by the dynamic and talented grads-to-be who appear in them, so I wanted to share them with everyone.

I never know ahead of time which photos will be chosen as winning images, so I’m just as surprised as my clients when their portraits are published! Want to see the stand-out photos that were noticed by photography judges nationwide?

Senior Year Magazine chooses the best of the best when they publish images, and I was thrilled to have not one but TWO of Corbin’s senior photos published in The Guys Edition! His images were selected to represent top-quality, creative, and unique photos that photographers all around the country will see.

While it might seem that these effortless, perfectly pulled-together moments are the easiest for professional photographers, I can assure you that they’re often what sets our pulses racing and our minds whirling. How can I make this handsome guy look any more amazing than he already does?! Years of experience have taught me that when everything comes together so perfectly, that’s when I can stand back, relax, and encourage clients to just enjoy the moment. And like a professional model, Corbin turned on the heat!

Because there are so many entries submitted by photographers across the country, the magazine is only able to select and publish the best of the best! Every image highlighted is professionally taken and is the pride and joy of the photographer behind the lens, so to say competition is fierce is an understatement.

The photos I choose to submit to national magazines are images that I fall in love with more and more every time I see them! And how could I help it? Every image I select has that little “something special” that not only captures my eye (and my clients’ eyes), but also stands out as unique, creative, and full of the energy and excitement that define senior year.

In addition to being published in Senior Year Magazine, I am honored to have not one, but FIVE, images published in the recent issue of Senior Poise Magazine‘s Winter 2023 Edition! Sometimes the world turns just right on its axis, the stars align, and I am blessed with an image worthy of publication—but then again, I think ALL my clients and their gorgeous grad photos deserve to be front and center for everyone to see!

Senior Poise Magazine Highlights Stunning Graduation Photos

Ready to see even more winning photos? Senior Poise Magazine, a premier publication that highlights the best and brightest of senior photography, selected the SIX images below from Magical Memories by Michelle to highlight! I don’t even need to tell you how excited I was—and how thrilled I was for each of these stylish graduates to be featured for all to see.

One of my favorite things to do is tell seniors that their images have been published in national magazines. Not only does it give them a huge boost in self-confidence, but it highlights their amazing style and presence in front of the camera…and people nationwide can see their idea-inspiring poses!

Meet Madie, Alex, Bella, Madalynne & Corbin

Stars of the show because of their great personalities, sense of style, and one-of-a-kind presence in front of the camera, these teens each had individual photo sessions that showcased their own personal styles. And with so much creativity in play, it’s easy to see why they were chosen for publication!

When I go out and explore with my clients, we always find great places that highlight their personalities and align with the things and places they love. I encourage every client to be themselves, be natural, and enjoy their very own style throughout their session, and when it’s all said and done, they end up with a portrait package that’s full of creative and authentic images of everything they love about senior year!

These definitely aren’t the first images I’ve had published, and I’m determined that they won’t be the last! In fact, I enter professional images at least twice a year to various publications, and my Press page showcases more award-winning senior photos. Check them out to get great ideas and inspiration for your own photo session!

A poolside vacation is a great way to unwind and destress. Being in the water and under the sun can help you relax so all your worries float away. However, making the most of your resort vacation also means remembering certain things.

Check out the exceptional styling from this senior portrait session in Chandler, Arizona.  As we planned, Kelci and her mom decided that having her in the water would be a great addition to her portrait session. She chose a colorful bouquet, brought her dive medals, and we found the perfect desert locations for her senior portrait session.

Moms, take note and save this post! If you aren't sure what clothes your son should wear for senior pictures, just follow Kaden's example. He's got everything from casual t-shirts and jeans to a GQ look in a styled blue suit! His entire sessions shows great ideas for posing, and expressions too. I always try to get a balance of smiling and serious expressions whenever I’m on a shoot, but when you've got a face as photogenic as Kaden's, serious snaps are definitely a requirement!
